WORKSHOP TOPICS AND DISCUSSION POINTS

1. Introduction to Mason Bees - Overview of their biology, adaptive behaviour, and importance as pollinators. 

2. Lifecycle - Explanation of the different stages of a Mason Bee's life, from egg to adult. 

3. Habitat Needs - Discuss the natural habitats of Mason Bees and how to create suitable environments in urban and suburban settings. 

4. Nesting Behaviour - Explanation of how Mason Bees nest, including their preference for nesting in pre-existing holes or tubes. 

5. Bee House Construction - Practical demonstration or hands-on activity to teach participants how to build bee houses using simple materials. 

6. Planting for Bees - Guidance on selecting and planting bee-friendly flowers and plants to provide food and shelter for Mason Bees and other pollinators. 

7. Bee Health - Tips for maintaining healthy Mason Bee populations, including managing pests and diseases, and avoiding harmful pesticides. 

8. Citizen Science Opportunities - Introduction to citizen science projects focused on monitoring and conserving Mason Bee populations.
